Crest Design for the Writers' Circle at the University of the West Indies, Mona
Design
The crest consists of four (4) symbols captured on a Wedge Coat of Arms in a Quarterly arrangement. 

The symbols represented are the ‘Arm of the Writing Region’, the ‘Book of Us’ representing Prose, the ‘Mic of Mine’ representing Poetry, and the ‘Mask that Shows’ representing Drama. 

Atop the crest, is an eagle, and at its bottom, there is a ribbon bearing the words, 'Extra Arca Archa in Circulus' ~ the club's motto/tagline that means 'Out of the Box, Into the Circle'.


Symbolism
The crest is the formal visual representation of the club and will be used in official matters. As such, it represents the totality of writing through the three genres, combined with the Writer’s Circle logo, representing the regional literary genre and influences collectively.
